Where to start when thinking about August

Once the government lifted some of the lockdown guidelines back in July, we worked tirelessly to make sure that our customers would receive a Gaddum welcome and the experience we are becoming so famous for. This led to our decision to focus solely on our stunning Afternoon Tea service. Afterall, you deserve a treat after the many months of lockdown, what better way to celebrate being out again than with a delicious Gaddum Afternoon Tea.

You ate out and you helped out

Like all businesses, we are still dealing with the effects of lockdown. However, the support we’ve received from you, our wonderful guests, has really helped to put a smile on our faces. Thank you for all the lovely Facebook and Instagram messages over the past few months, and thank you even more for joining us since reopening on the 4th of August.

With the support of the Eat Out to Help Out offer, August has been a whirlwind! We were fully booked from early in the month, and we’ve been elated to see your smiles and to hear your ‘oooooh’s’ and ‘ahhh’s’ as we’ve served you our Afternoon Tea, with the beautiful Brockhole as a fitting backdrop.

To you from us

We know that many of you couldn’t get a table throughout August, and those that could want to return. To thank you for your patience and support we’re offering our own special Afternoon Tea discount throughout September. Although we can’t match the very generous discount the government offered, we are able to offer a Gaddum £5 reduction on Afternoon Teas (Monday to Wednesdays only). So just £20 per person for what is one of the best tasting and best value full Afternoon Tea’s in the Lake District, according to our guests!

Lunch is back

After such a successful August of Afternoon Teas, we are delighted to announce that we have re-opened our doors again for Lunch and Afternoon Tea seven days a week from Tuesday, September 1st. Gerald and his team have been hard at work creating the finest dishes using the best, locally sourced, ingredients. Expect a taste bud tingling lunch in our beautiful restaurant.
